Your Right to Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. This page explains what data can be deleted, how to request deletion, and what to expect during the process.

We are committed to processing deletion requests promptly and in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and UK GDPR.

What Data Can Be Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will remove the following information from our systems:

Account Data

  • Email address and name
  • Account credentials (password hash)
  • Account preferences and settings
  • Subscription and billing history

Connected Accounts

  • Facebook User ID and profile data
  • Instagram account connections
  • All stored access tokens (encrypted)
  • OAuth refresh tokens

Conversations & Messages

  • All stored Instagram Direct Messages
  • Conversation history and threads
  • Comment replies and private replies
  • Message templates and quick replies

Automation & AI Data

  • Auto-reply rules and configurations
  • Keyword rules and triggers
  • AI conversation history
  • Analytics and usage data

How to Request Deletion

Option 1: From Your Dashboard (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your AIworX account
  2. Navigate to Settings in your dashboard
  3. Scroll to the Account section
  4. Click "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm your decision by typing your email address
  6. Click "Permanently Delete Account"

This will initiate deletion of all your data within 30 days.

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to deletion@aiworx.io with:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your registered email address
  • A clear statement requesting deletion of all personal data
  • Your name as registered on the account

We will verify your identity before processing the request.

Option 3: Meta Data Deletion Callback

If you are a Facebook/Instagram user who authorized AIworX through Facebook Login, you can also request data deletion through Facebook:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites
  2. Find AIworX in the list
  3. Click "Remove"

This triggers our data deletion callback and we will process deletion within 30 days.

Disconnected Instagram Accounts

If you want to disconnect an Instagram account without deleting your entire AIworX account:

  1. Go to your AIworX Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Connected Accounts
  3. Find the Instagram account you want to disconnect
  4. Click "Disconnect"
  5. Confirm the disconnection

When you disconnect an Instagram account:

  • All stored access tokens for that account are immediately deleted
  • Webhook subscriptions are removed
  • Conversation data for that account is deleted within 7 days
  • Automation rules for that account are removed
  • AI history for that account is deleted

Stored Conversations

To delete specific conversation data without deleting your entire account:

  1. Go to your AIworX Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Inbox
  3. Select the conversation you want to delete
  4. Click "Delete Conversation"
  5. Confirm the deletion

Deleted conversations are removed from our database immediately and cannot be recovered.

AI History

To clear your AI interaction history:

  1. Go to your AIworX Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Settings > AI Configuration
  3. Click "Clear AI History"
  4. Confirm the action

This removes all AI-generated suggestions and auto-reply history from your account. The AI service will continue to function but will no longer have historical context.

Access Tokens

All Facebook and Instagram access tokens are:

  • Encrypted using AES-256 before storage
  • Stored only in our secure database
  • Never shared with third parties
  • Automatically deleted when you disconnect an account
  • Permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion

You can revoke access at any time through your Facebook account settings at facebook.com/settings.

Deletion Timeline

Immediate
Account deactivation and access revocation
Within 7 days
Disconnection from Meta platforms and token revocation
Within 14 days
Conversation data and AI history deletion
Within 30 days
Complete deletion of all personal data from backups and all systems

In some cases, we may retain certain data longer if required by applicable law. We will notify you if this applies.

Confirmation

When you request data deletion, we will:

  1. Send a confirmation email to your registered address within 24 hours
  2. Provide a unique reference number for your deletion request
  3. Send a notification when deletion is complete
  4. Retain only anonymized, non-identifiable data required for legal compliance
